Unleashing ourselves and inspiring others to do the same!
Seattle's Best B-Boys, also known as Unleashed, is a native b-boy crew that originally began with 4 members. These 4 included the younger members' hyung and mentor Sky Bae (Sky), Niko Serpanos (Neo), Brian Ung (Irban), and Alejandro Luna-Juliano (Lunatic). After the initial few years, SBB formulated its mentality as a crew, and vowed to continuously perform the most difficult material as dancers while still expressing what it is to be true to oneself.
Naturally, when faced with people that had a similar mindset, SBB found itself adding four new members to the crew. Takashi Endo (Endo), Krubel Amare (Buckshot), Kaden Kim (Found), and Zach He (He Man) are also an intrinsic part of the SBB family.
Unleashed agrees that the most pivotal moment in its genesis was when Sky asked the younger members, "Do you want to be a crazy b-boy, or a normal b-boy?" The group naturally chose the former.
Since then, SBB has been representing aggressively in the Seattle scene and up and down the West coast. Some members have traveled to Europe to compete, and also the United States' Northern neighbor Canada.
Aside from the competitive aspect of B-Boying, SBB has a strong background in teaching and often teaches workshops at local dance studios. They have performed for large productions and corporate events such as Paradiso, America's Got Talent, Amazon conventions, and UW Basketball Half-time shows.
More recently, SBB has been coordinating their own Hip-Hop events and have flown winners to Europe to represent our city.
Unleashed is not only a dancing crew, but a philosophy. To unleash yourself is to truly search for your character within your own mind, develop it, take ownership of it, and inspire others using your talent. The Unleashed family truly believes it is living this mission.
